This Month In Music: January 2013

The first month of 2013 is just about to come to an end and that means that it is time for one of my very favorite Music Monday’s of the month – “This Month In Music.” If you haven’t been following entertainment or music news over the past month, let me just say that 2013 is off to a pretty amazing start! There have already been some really huge announcements made and really huge and surprising new singles released. Most years, it seems, January isn’t a big month for music. There will normally be a few releases from new artists, as well as a few singles premiering to start the hype for Spring album releases and things of that nature, but this past month has been a pretty major surprise. There has been a lot of really great stuff that’s come out in the past month, including albums from some new artists but also a few really cool established artists released new albums this month and there have been tons of really amazing new singles that have popped up this month. The further we got into January, the more I just kept thinking, “I can’t wait to do the ‘This Month In Music’ post for this month!” So, here it is! Check out the video below!

Dido – “No Freedom” (Single)
Justin Timberlake – “Suit & Tie” (Single)
Kelly Rowland – “Kisses Down Low ” (Single)

Kimberley Walsh – “Another Suitcase In Another Hall” (Single)
Jewel – “Two Hearts Breaking” (Single)
Monarchy featuring Dita Von Teese – “Disintegration” (Single)
Paramore – “Now” (Single)
Evanescence – “If You Don’t Mind” (Single)
Prince – “Screwdriver” (Single)
Lady Antebellum – “Downtown” (Single)
Nicole Scherzinger – “Boomerang” (Single)
Destiny’s Child – “Love Songs”
Dawn Richard – “Goldenheart”

Neon Hitch – “Happy Neon”
Conor Maynard – “Contrast”
Lisa Loeb – “No Fairy Tale”
Tegan & Sara – “Heartthrob”
Justin Bieber – “Believe Acoustic”
Luke McMaster – “All Roads”
Blue – “Roulette”
Colton Dixon – “A Messenger”

I would have also put together a Spotify playlist of some of the highlights of the month, however my Spotify has decided to no longer cooperate. I am not entirely sure of the reason for this but it is certainly irritating. In any sense, I absolutely recommend checking out most of the music talked about in this video – in particular, the Tegan & Sara album, “Heartthrob” and the Dawn Richard album, “Goldenheart.” Also, Justin Bieber’s “Believe Acoustic” is surprisingly amazing and worth a shot! In any sense, I’ve got a really huge week planned here at Beausic and, in particular, on the Beausic YouTube channel! In fact, there will be new videos going up on the channel every day this week but I won’t be doing individual posts for them all here on the blog, instead doing a roundup post on the weekend, so if you want to see all of this newness first, I definitely recommend subscribing to the YouTube channel! In the meantime, I wish you all a beautiful week ahead and a beautiful life!
