So, as I have mentioned here a few times lately, I have recently become affiliated with an independent beauty brand called Dark Heart Designs. Dark Heart Designs is a handmade mineral make up company that creates eye shadows, lip sticks, blushes, highlighters and more. Based out of Georgia, a majority of their products are vegan and all are handmade. The brand has also created a pretty brilliant “promoter” group called the Dark Heart Dolls, which I am now proud to be a part of. I have to, of course, give a disclaimer right off the bat, that I am not in any way being compensated for this and I did pay for all of the products featured in the following videos.
I can honestly say that I have always been a little leery of the independent beauty brands because, to be frank, when somebody is making products by hand from their homes there is certainly a question of how those homes are kept, sanitation and things of that nature, so I did a good deal of research on the brand, sought out reviews from others, etc., before actually getting involved with them and really found nothing but favorable reviews, no red flags or evidence of people having issues based on using these products or anything of that nature. So, I was very excited to give the products a try! One of the things I love the most about the brand and this collection is the fact that their products are mostly named after songs or song lyrics – right up my alley, being that this blog is called Beausic! They even have a full range of blushes named after Lana Del Rey lyrics, which you know I was immediately drawn in by! So, check out my review of the Dark Heart Designs products that I got below, all from their Peacock-y Collection.

I also put together some swatches of the majority of the eye shadows from the collection, aside from Be Yourself, which I seem to have misplaced, and Marry The Night, which I had misplaced but have since found! I am terrible at swatches, so forgive me, but you’ll get the idea of the color. All swatches were done dry, without any primer or base underneath.
I also wanted to share a few looks I created using Dark Heart Designs products that were shared to my Instagram previously, which you should all be following if you aren’t already because I do share new looks and the music I am listening to on any given day on there on a daily basis!
Like I mentioned in the video, the Dark Heart Dolls is an absolutely amazing group of girls who all share a passion for beauty and all do really different and amazing things with the same products, so I definitely recommend checking them out, as well. In fact, I have compiled a list of links to some of their work, as well, which you can check out below!
So, that was a whole hell of a lot of Dark Heart Designs talk, wasn’t it?! There was a reason I had so much to say about this brand, though, and it simply that I genuinely really love it! This Peacock-y Collection is only the tip of the iceberg, too! I’m really excited to pick up more products from the brand myself, which I’m sure I’ll wind up sharing with you all here eventually, as well, but I can honestly say that my experience with the owner, the fellow Dolls and, most importantly, the products has been nothing short of amazing so far! I highly recommend checking them out! In the meantime, though, I wish you all a beautiful rest of the week and a beautiful life!
