I know what you’re thinking, “What is up with all of this Adore Delano stuff here lately?!” Unless you’re not familiar with “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” in which case you’re probably thinking something more like, “Who the hell is Adore Delano and why do you keep talking about her?!” Well, I just can’t help it! Adore Delano was one of the runners up on Season 6 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” which just ended a couple of weeks ago. On the “reunion” show, she announced her first single, “DTF,” and her album, “Till Death Do Us Party.” While she did not win the series, she has definitely been the most prominent star from the show since it’s end and, perhaps, one of the most prominent stars to have come from any season of the show. Adore did not delay in the way many of the queens from “RuPaul’s Drag Race” have – as soon as the series ended she had stuff prepared for release. Striking while the iron is hot is kind of essential to maintained success. Aside from being impressed with Adore’s gumption and savvy in getting herself out there immediately, I was also incredibly impressed with the material that she has put out, so I just had to talk about it in a bit more detail. So, that brings us to this post! Check out my review of Adore’s brand new album, “Till Death Do Us Party,” below!
Since I feel like you guys need to hear this album for yourself, I have also included a Spotify playlist of the album for you to check out below! If you enjoy what you hear, I highly recommend purchasing the album through iTunes or Amazon. Drag music, being so far outside the mainstream, does not make these queens the kind of money most mainstream artists make and they do not get the kind of exposure that mainstream artists do, so supporting them by purchasing their music is essential!
I hope you’re not sick to death of hearing about Adore just yet because i do have one more Adore-related post going up tomorrow – a tutorial for the look I am wearing in this video, from the music video for the album’s second single, “I Adore U.” Keep an eye out for that! In the meantime, though, I wish you all a beautiful Tuesday and a beautiful life!
