About

Hello! My name is Jason. I am a 28 year old call center drone from Sarasota, FL, (by way of Southern California,) with a passion for all things related to beauty and music; Beausic. This blog includes multiple weekly features on the topics of both beauty and music – this means new music reviews, downloads, playlists, etc., as well as reviews on new beauty products, tutorials, recreations of looks from different musical artists and celebrities, etc. This is meant to be a fun, and even educational/enlightening, place for people to pick up all kinds of new beauty tips and recommendations, as well as to discover new music and find out all about all of the hottest new artists!

    1. I don’t know what bloglovin’ is but I certainly do write about Marcia Brady and cute little mini-sized makeup, and a whole host of other fun things! 😛 Thanks so much for the comment!

      1. Well, it’s a feed service that fashion and beauty bloggers are on. Just go to BlogLovin.com. Anyway, I’m posting this on my BlackBerry because when I try to read your blog on Chrome, something that required flash makes my browser freeze. Just thought I’d let you know, it could hurt your traffic. I am soooo jealous you got those Clinique charms! 😐

    1. Thank you soooo much for this! I Was so excited when I saw it!!! I really do appreciate it immensely and am really glad to hear that you are enjoying the blog enough to give it an award! It means a LOT to me, so thank you!!!

      1. My pleasure! I would give my left arm to have 1/10th your ability to do eye make-up. I figure if I read/watch your tips enough I just might improve a bit! Keep up the great work!

  1. I was browsing your blog and found great information in it. I also enjoy your writing style. I am sorry if I sound like an idiot. I landed randomly on the page where you recreate the look of Amy Childs but the the recreated look seems to be on a man’s face. I am obviously missing something. Are these tips supposed to be for men or women? Or both?

    1. Hey! Thanks so much for commenting! These tips are supposed to be for anybody who likes them or can put them to use – man, woman or whatever else you can think of! Pretty much every look you come across on my blog will be done on a man’s face because I am actually a man doing the makeup looks on myself!

  2. Ah, now I understand. Thank you. Being a man myself, I have never worn make-up. But somehow it sounds like it could be fun to try. I live in Cairo and I can just imagine the attention I would attract walking down the street with Amy Child’s make-up on my face!! The false lashes alone would cause a big stir. Thanks again, and I will keep reading.

    1. haha I understand. I live in America (Florida) and it causes enough of a stir, let alone in Cairo! Thanks for commenting and following the blog! I really appreciate it and hope you enjoy everything I have coming up!

  3. Hi J,

I’m from Brazil and I love your videos. I love make up, so I shoot a few videos and want to share with you. You are a big inspiration for me!! I Hope you like my videos.

    1. Hey Daniel! Thank you so much for the lovely comment – it means so much to me to hear that I have been able to inspire you in some way! Your videos look really great – I really loved the look you wore in the one titled “Esperança And Hope,” it was really beautiful and fun! Thanks so much for sharing and keep up the great work!

      Jason

  4. Hi Jason! I love your blogs and videos, you seem really sweet 🙂 And I think it’s cool that you’re so open and YOU! So true to yourself. It’s cool, don’t see that a whole lot.

I know you like to discover new music, so I thought I’d share this with you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fL7uKJ4ExTU BAM.

    Anyways, have a good one!

    1. Hey! Thank you so much for the kind comment! I really appreciate comments like this, although it’s always a little funny to hear that it’s cool that I am being myself – it really doesn’t take much effort and comes really naturally, so it’s kind of like, “I’m not doing anything!” lol I do understand, though, that it’s not always the case and I’m glad that people can recognize and appreciate that it is for me! So, basically, thank you!

Also, thanks for sharing that video – Very cool. Reminds me of that late 80s/early 90s, club kid, “Party Monster” era, which I love!

  5. I’m pretty sure I’m completely late to this party, but could I perhaps have a bit of cake anyway?

I came across your blog looking for something I can’t remember (probably tutorials or reviews), and now I need to follow (if only because I can absolutely never remember the important things in life, yet could name every friend in my kindergarten class).

    1. Hey! In the words of Kylie Minogue, and countless others less important, “It’s never too late!” lol Thanks so much for checking out the blog – I’m always really excited when new people check out the blog because it seems like the blog doesn’t honestly get much love and people are more interested in just watching the YouTube videos, so thanks!
